Oregon

I know it has been quite a few months since our big move to Oregon but I finally got some pictures taken of our new house! It was a bit of a whirl wind making the decision to move and getting here, but now that we are here we love our new house and are feeling more at home in our new little town of Bend!

Stopped for a quick pick after church since we were all looking our best! You can all enjoy one of my few pregnancy shots! I am about 25 weeks along here. We absolutely love our new ward here in Bend and have made some really great friends.
Here are a few pictures of the inside of our house. Most of these are of the downstairs which is for the most part all put together. The upstairs is still not quite set up all how we would like as we are still trying to figure out room arrangements for the girls and the new baby coming. We'll have to get more pics up of the upstairs after the baby comes and everything has finally gotten all set up! I absolutely love our kitchen! It was definitely one of the major selling points of the house.
The family room is right next to the kitchen which is very convenient for me and the girls. A very nice spot to sit and relax!
I had to throw this pic in because of our new friend "the cat"! The girls have been begging for a pet and we keep telling them we are getting a new baby first before we even think about any type of pet. Lucky for us we inherited a pet that comes to visit but that we don't have to take care of! Soon after we moved here this white cat started hanging out at our back sliding door. Of course the girls want to let it in and pet and feed it! After a few days of it coming back we finally let it in and give it a little milk. After that it was like our best buddy! It would visit multiple times a day and loved to come hang out with us at night when we were watching tv. Finally we found out it belonged to our neighbors and they were fine with it hanging out and visiting which works out great for us! The girls come down every morning first thing, open up the blinds, and see if Kinsley the cat is there. She always is waiting for us to open up the door and invite her in for a bowl of milk. Khloe has taken it on as her job to quickly run over and grab a bowl out of the cupboard, then hand me the bowl and open up the fridge so I can pour some milk for the cat. Then as you see below she sits and watches and pets as the cat slurps it down! The girls are in love with Kinsley- hopefully this will distract from any family pet pleading for at least a little while!
Finally here are the girls in their favorite room in the house- the playroom! It is a large bonus room above our garage where the girls have plenty of space to spred out with all their toys! They have a reading corner, an art corner, a barbie house corner, a kitchen corner, and even a tv corner. They disappear for hours up here!
We have also been enjoying the beautiful outdoors here in our new town of Bend. We took a little drive up to Mount Bachelor a few weeks ago. We made it up to the ski resort but the road was still too snowy after that to drive up any further. It was a beautiful day so we stopped for a few minutes to take a couple pics. Dan even made me jump out to take a pregnancy pic- still about 25 weeks like in the above photo.
Another place in Bend that is absolutely beautiful is the Deschutes River. The girls love driving past it every day when we take Dan to work. We have spent quite a few days down by the river playing at the park, having a picnic, making wishes at the bridge, etc. This day we actually walked all the way down to the river from our house. It was a little cold but the girls had a blast! We can't wait till it warms up a bit so we can actually swim in the river!
Also since we have arrived in Bend a lot of Dan's time has gone to helping his dad out building a HUGE greenhouse in their backyard. They have totally built it from scratch and it is pretty amazing. These are some beginning pics, I'll have to take some more updated ones so you can see the progress and the finished product. We are hoping to benefit a bit from some of the produce that comes out of here this summer!

Okay, I've heard about the green house - I didn't realize how BIG it was! No wonder it has been such a project! I'm glad you guys get to enjoy Bend. I love it there. Maybe if/when I ever have a family I'll be back there too! :-)
